Trick to stretch…

Love this vintage, stylish indestructible shoe. It’s the exact same one I wore in high school. I do remember getting a blisters while I molded them to my feet by getting them wet and wearing them for two weeks. Now older & wiser, I stretch them by freezing sandwich baggies of water inside. Then I let them “thaw” in the sink. They are feeling good - just overnight in the freezer. I might pop them back in to soften up the toe box. No blisters…just pure Sperry Topsider Bliss!

I have worn this type of shoe for many years in the military. Now I sing in a men's group wearing a tuxedo. This shoe is very comfortable. They have thick soles that cushion the feet well for standing for a long period. Far more comfortable than the Bates shoes we had for dress uniform in the Navy.

Plus size perfect!!

I will preface this review by saying I have high arches. This shoe fit perfectly. The strap around the ankle was loose but again my feet are not normal. I have skinny ankles. I'm 5'5 and weigh 243, so I am not small. I wore these heels for about 5 to 6 hours. I was running errands and dancing at a party I hosted. My feet were fine. They are sturdy. I walked up and down a steep incline going to get ice and the ground was wet because of rain. No slippage. I would definitely purchase more in different colors. I will also mention that my feet are wide so I purchased a half size bigger than what I usually wear which probably accounts for the ankle gap.
